Cameron Youth Home Facilities, Inc. (CYHF) was founded in 2002 because of a desire to make a difference in the lives of our communities youth population. 

Program Purpose

The purpose of the Cameron Youth Home Facilities, Inc. (CYHF) is to provide core services and supports that are culturally appropriate and trauma informed in a safe, consistently stable, learning and secure environment for youth who meet medical necessity criteria for specialty mental health services.

Cameron Youth Home Facilities, Inc. Job Positions

Direct Care Staff

      

Earning $13-$16 an hour 

· Supervision, protection and care of youth individually and in groups.

· Assist youth in working with a group and in handling individual problems.

· Administration of positive discipline and setting limits for behavior.

· Notation of and communication with professional staff the youth’s progress.

· Assist youth with access to core services and supports, daily  activities, emotional and social supports as necessary.

· Must be Trauma Informed and willing to use a trauma informed approach    with the youth.

· Any other duties that may be necessary to ensure the health and safety of youth in the facility.



Facilities Manager

  

Earning $14-$18 with Bachelors OR 2+ years’ experience with this age group.

· Manage day to day operation of the program.

· Supervise Direct Care Staff, ensuring appropriate care and supervision is provided to youth in accordance with applicable law, licensing regulations, and facility’s policies.

· Supervising youth when needed.

· Oversee the planned activities required to be available to youth.

· Ensuring general upkeep of the facility.

· Reporting to Administrator and making recommendations to address identified problems.

Residential Counselor

  

Earning $17-$20 with Bachelors

· Supervision, protection and care of youth individually and in groups.

· Assist youth in working with a group and in handing individual problems.

· Notation of and communication with professional staff the youth’s progress.

· Assist youth with access to core services and supports, daily activities, emotional and social supports as necessary.

· Must be Trauma Informed and willing to use a trauma informed approach with the youth.

· Any other duties that may necessary to ensure the health and safety of youth in the facility.

Recovery Specialist I/II

  

Earning $17-$20 with Bachelors (I) 

$22-$25 with Masters (II) 

· Performs psycho-educational groups and individual counseling, at a level not requiring licensure as a mental health professional. 

· Serves as a fundamental part of the Mental Health Team, providing outreach, support, and rehabilitative services. 

· Writes clear and concise correspondence, progress notes and reports.

· Participates in weekly Youth Planning Team meetings with Residential Counselor/Direct Care Staff and Mental Health Team to assess and determine needs and services for each assigned youth.

· Works collaboratively with Mental Health Team and all Staff to develop and implement intensive, individualized interventions for youth.

· Create linkages to community supports and integrated community outings. 

· Must be able to integrate Trauma-Informed approaches in all areas of services.
